The reason for my 1 star on this product is that it's designed to work with the Home Power Panel, yet I cannot use the HPP to update its firmware, even though I can use the HPP to update all the other firmwares like for the HPP, the F3800, the F3800 Plus and the BP3800. Anker DELIBERATELY EXCLUDES the GIA firmware from being updated by the HPP and only allows it to be updated by the F3800 Plus just to retain it exclusivity for using it with the F3800 Plus. Then why bother advertising that it can be used with the HPP but then not allow the GIA firmware to be updated by the HPP? Very fishy and pure marketing tactics here that does not show Anker in a very good light.
great addition to recharge the unit with a generator.
I ordered knowing that this is only specified for the F3800+ and given the introductory price, maybe we'd see some ability to use it on the F3800 since the plugs are exactly the same. The only way to use this would be through a very precise connect, disconnect with the HPP, though I have to believe if the F3800+ has a special generator port that this will eventually be usable on the F3800 without the HPP.
